HUMAN BODY SYSTEMS QUICK GUIDE

Circulatory : Transport gasses(oxygen,CO2) and nutrients throughout body;

Digestive: Breakdown of nutrients (food);

Nervous: Process & respond to stimuli;

Respiratory: Gas exchange;

Muscular: Movement;

Excretory: Eliminates waste to maintain homeostasis;

Immune: Defense against disease

Answers

Answer 1

Answer: the human body is made up of multiple interacting systems, within the systems there are 3 that really work together. for starters, the respiratory system and the circulatory system work closely together to deliver oxygen to cells and to get rid of the carbon dioxide the cells produce. The respiratory system works directly with the circulatory system to provide oxygen to the body. Oxygen taken in from the respiratory system moves into blood vessels that then circulate oxygen-rich blood to tissues and cells. Working along these cells is the digestive system, the human digestive system consists of the gastrointestinal tract plus the accessory organs of digestion. Digestion involves the breakdown of food into smaller and smaller components, until they can be absorbed and assimilated into the body which then provides nutrients that give the body energy.

Type the correct answer in each box. Use numerals instead of words.
A force of 25 newtons moves a box a distance of 4 meters in 5 seconds.
The work done on the box is
Nm, and the power is
Nm/s.

Answers

Work is power x distance so 25x4 gets you 100 joules for work, and power is work divided by time so you get 100/5 and get 20 watts for power. Hope that helped

21. The colon and rectum
The colon removes water and some nutrients and electrolytes from partially digested food. The remaining material, solid waste called stool, moves through the colon, is stored in the rectum, and leaves the body through the anus. The colon is part of the digestive system.

1. Tom and Tina decided they wanted to start a family. Tom knew his grandfather had sickle-cell disease. Sickle-cell disease is a recessive disorder that causes blood cells to stiffen and take on a crescent shape. These blood cells have a difficult time moving through the blood vessels and can cause health problems. Tina didn’t know of any family members that had it. Still, before they got pregnant they both went to the doctor for genetic tests. The doctor found that even though Tom and Tina were healthy, they both carried the gene for sickle-cell disease. Make a Punnett Square to determine the probability of Tom and Tina’s child having sickle-cell disease.

Use the space below to tell the probability of Tom and Tina having a child with sickle-cell and explain how you determine that.

Answers

Answer:

it's over and over 18 over 10 is 81

it would be about a 25% chance of the child having the disease because they don’t have it, but they do carry it.
